red white and boom!

Friday, July 3rd 2009, I went to downtown with Daddy, Mommy and all their friends to see fireworks for United States Independence Day celebration.

It's a long way to get there. First we stopped at Matthew's house for dinner, then we all walked down the street to Hight St, to catch the bus. We had to wait for a while until the bus arrived. Thankfully, Matthew and I were sitting on the stroller when all the long walk took place :)

It's been a while I hadn't ride the bus. I was so exciting. When the bus reached campus area, it became so full and packed with all people going to downtown.
Then we're off at Long Street, downtown and took another long walk to get the good spot.

Finally, we settled down on the pavement across the river from the Veteran's Memorial Building. I walked with Bebe to go to some portable potty, then we walked around to see all the things around. There're soooo many people.

Finally, after the sun set, we all sat down and enjoying some snacks, funnel cakes, blooming onions and juices.
I heard several loud canon shots before the fireworks began. They were very loud! I can feel my heart beating and the vibration on the ground.
10pm, everyone standup when they played the Star-Spangled Banner song.

Finally, the fireworks began! It was very LOUD! I sat on Daddy's lap and asked him to cover my ears. Surprisingly, I enjoyed watching the fireworks. I didn't like it before, but with both my ears covered, I can see the beauty of the fireworks.

It took maybe 30 minutes after the show finished, then again, we had to walked back to High Street to catch the bus back to Matthew's house.

We had to wait in line with so many people trying to get to the bus as fast as they could.
I sat on the back of the bus on Mommy's lap, next to Dudud and Matthew's who sat on Bebe's lap. I was very tired and slept on the way back, whick took almost 1 hour!

When the bus stopped, we still need to walk back, but Dudud held me because I was too heavy for Mommy now :)

Dudud took us home to have a good night sleep, without another peep...

PerPer 2.0

Meet my new PerPer and his friend, FishyFishy.

Daddy and I went again to the pet store to get another fish, the day after PerPer the First died, but instead of one, I get two! THANKS, Daddy!

my first pet funeral

Last night, on June 24th 2009, my little blue betta fish, PerPer, died after suffered several heart attacks (shocked from hearing us smacking the flies) and maybe consumed some dead flies in the tank.

I was so sad and told Mommy some ways to make it alive; change the water, wait a little longer that he'd swim again and knock the tank. It's even more sad when Mommy told me that there's nothing I can do if something or someone dies.

So finally I was ready for the funeral. Mommy dig the ground at the backyard and put PerPer inside then covered with some soils. I put the American flag for the sign. PerPer is American :)

Bye bye PerPer.. I will have another one soon.. but I'll miss you.

jello day

Today I'm not going to playgroup. it is cancelled, so Mommy and I are thinking of making jello. I asked her to make jello from 2 days ago, because I saw some jelly moldings laying around in the kitchen. (They belong to tante Vonny who just moved to our house).

So, we make it! It's lychee flavor jelly. I helped Mommy stirring the mixture on the stove, wiping the molding, checking out whether the jelly ready or not, and finally testing it :)

I finish all the jelly in the sea creatures molding just in minutes! I left 1 for Mommy.

We have to wait longer for the bigger moldings. I need to wait after dinner tonight.

workshop, zoo outing, tricycling, swimming

this morning I went to Home Depot for Kid's workshop. We're making hardware storage for celebrating Father's Day. Today is very special, because not only Daddy who came with me, but also Mommy, tante Pau2, Meme, Tata and Dudud.

It's good that we got the spot on the corner, because we're very crowded.

Then, we're off to the zoo. My kindermusik school had this zoo outing together.

We had a picnic on the shelter next to the river (lots of geese around), then Andrew and I rode the carousel.

I really love summer, there're plenty of things I can do outside.

I rode my tricycle everyday, and now that Mommy has her own bicycle, we ride together every afternoon around the block.

I go swimming almost like 2 or 3 times a week at tante Ria and tante Janet's apartment's pool.
After 3.5 years, finally I love swimming.
